VAWA: Green Card Application for Victims of Domestic Violence
The VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) visa provides immigration protection for victims of domestic violence, abuse, or cruelty (regardless of gender). Victims can apply for a green card without relying on the abuser, and applicants need to provide evidence of the marriage's authenticity, the abuse experienced, and good moral character.
